HOW DOES IT WORK
UpSki powered by Wearit is a technology that, through the direct measurement of the parameters of skiing, is able to give indications on the qualitative and quantitative aspects of skiing, and to provide the skier with personalized services for better skiing and greater safety.
All this is possible thanks to a sophisticated hardware / software technology based on:
-
an inertial platform
-
a barometric pressure sensor
-
sensor fusion algorithms
Below we explain better how each of these 3 elements works:

Thanks to this technology, in addition to all the quantitative parameters that are provided by several apps dedicated to ski tracking already available, UpSki is the first app that reconstructs with the use of a single sensor, the quality of skiing in a reliable and accurate way.
UpSki manages to reconstruct the level of the skier on the FISI scale (where 1 corresponds to the "snowplow" and 7 to the "ski master" level), up to the level of pre-agonist skier. For the mapping of skiing at a competitive level, UpSki can measure all the parameters, but we are working to implement a product specifically dedicated to racing. UpSki can still be used also in the competitive field, to have an objective indication of the accelerations and bending angles expressed at each run by the skier.
